Dont go to C5! there is still hope! The pay sucks, the management sucks, and alpa sucks. Besides wanting to live in CLE or EWR I would not consider C5 as an option. The only good side is flying with some amazing old school captains and flying a plane that can do as many cool things as the Dash.

Can anyone report on the interview, most current hiring news/changes, what it's like to fly there? I interview on Wednesday in CLE. Thanks.

Interview - basic IFR/regs test while they go over your logbook. HR/tech with CP, Director of Training (maybe, we just got a new one), or someone along those lines. I found out on the spot I got it, I think that's normal.

Just ran a new hire class, with attrition they'll need more (upgrading too). Last class was a split of EWR and CLE. EWR is generally the more junior base and definitely the more fun base.

The plane is great, the crews are great, the company doesn't give a rat's rear about you, ALPA seems to have the same feelings as the company.

It's a small company, everyone knows everyone which is pretty nice. If you can just get good at calling the company out on BS and ignoring the ALPA rah-rah, it's not a bad place to get your regional time.

Of course, I'm just a pilot. Your mileage may vary. But I have stayed at a couple Holiday Inn Expresses in the last few weeks.
