Days off prob the min 11 for reservere.. if you can hold a line (which is possible with all the movement) maybe 13 to 15 at best since most days off go senior.
Unless you live in CLE its going to be two leg commute to all bases except fll/tpa. My guess would be NE bases if you already live east. Unfortunately you will likely get BIL since they are adding more flights & helena MT as destination out there. At least you dont have to worry about senior fo's upgrading ahead of you for now since they are all training for the saab or far fm upgrading....Good Luck
Gotcha.... TPA ain't gonna happen for DEC...... I don't think I would commute if I'd get the job, at least not while being on reserve.

Since we are in the subject of DECs, what are they really looking for in terms of time/aircraft experience of DECs? Posted minimums are just basic ATP mins, which a bunch of regional FOs on the streets currently have.

Are they looking for T-Prop experience? (I don't have any) PIC? SIC time?

Thanks, I have gathered as much info as I could from this thread. It took a little bit to go through the 100 pages but I could get an idea of what it will be like.

I also tried to look for interview gouges for Silver Airways but couldn't find any, may be the company is too new. Found a few for Gulfstream but those seem to be different from what I could gather in this thread.

For those who went through the sim ride in the frasca, could you share more details about your experience? What approach did you fly, was the hold over a navaid or a fix, was the fix determined by DME or by a cross radial?
Not that it makes a difference, but I would like to practice the approach/hold at home in the Flight Simulator. I imagine they not always use the same aproach or hold but just to practice, which one did you guys shoot?

Thanks!

I depart from Sarasota (SRQ) fly straight to 2k then make a 180 back turn to fly to the VOR. Like at 7nm he give me holding clearance I just tell him the holding entry (I didn't make the hold). And final hi gave me vector for an ILS app so you shoot the ILS and done. Don't worry about the landing it's an old sim so is not perfect.

And your DAMN STRAIGHT I will ALWAYS thanks Sporty's since it was Armando Covelli that recommended me to go to MCO. Where you there when that Captain told me the reason I was not going to continue in training? Where you there when Chris admitted it? How was your pre-oral Oh that's right, you didn't get one- no one in our class did except me( though the company said they no longer do that) and despite what others have said- they wanted perfection from me- or to know both volumes 100%.

I also invited the perps that did this to me to come on this forum to defend themselves - not one did. So your point is spreading this info and rehashing this is......................

I will tell you my point, defender of the order of Silver. It was to let others know that despite what happened to me there, things did workout for me and to let others know (like the 3 others who left under not so nice circumstances) that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

You are the one that is kidding me - and others.
Where you working at now?

Thank you! It looks like they use different airports/approaches every time.

Thanks again for the info

AE will end their operations at San juan on March of next year. Does anyone know about the rumor of Silver getting SJU as a new base?

Doubtful the jets can handle that flying.

March of next year is quite a ways out to be hearing anything at this point. Not too sure about picking too much of the SJU flying up since it's going more toward mainline.

I wish the best of luck to the Eagle bros though...don't really wanna see anyone furloughed (like me, I'm a furlough pro).
