The U.S. Department of Transportation has approved Silver’s proposal to take over the subsidized service being handed off by Colgan Air, Senator Bob Casey announced today.
The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., airline is asking for $3,997,187 a year in federal funds to operate 18 flights a week between Johnstown-Altoona and Dulles International Airport near Washington. It includes three flights each weekday, one on Saturday and two on Sunday.

Colgan’s current EAS contract expires on June 30, 2012. Should Silver Airways not start full EAS on July 1, 2012, the Department will extend Colgan’s current contract until Silver Airways begins full EAS.
"...this proposal is contingent upon Silver Airways’ obtaining a United codeshare agreement to include the Altoona and Johnstown flights...

Did anyone ever hear what the mins. are now? I have heard 750TT a few times but their website still has 250TT. Also what if any are the multi requirements? It was never listed since they started hiring. Just curious.

I little birdie told me that Delta would talk code-share with Silver once they had Saabs in operation (which I still don't believe considering Deltas push for jets)... maybe this is the start of something?
