We're not getting rid of the 1900s until we can renegotiate the EAS rates on those routes.
Wouldn't make sense getting X for the 1900s and the same X for the 340. |

In their data base it says that you guys have 17 "active" Saabs, and 10 "inactive". So those together make 27. I'm not sure if that's up to date, or makes sense, or not.
It might be that their article on your Beech-1900s all leaving is just a mix up, but the article is 3 weeks old now, you think they would have corrected it if it was wrong by now? It wouldn't surprise me at all if it was correct and you are the last to know. That's how it always is... Anyway, some of the best/obscure info comes from places like this, government bids, etc. Company generated info is usually the worst. I swear when one of my bases was closed down I was the very last person on the whole airport to know. |

Hey Guys
I'm with XJT 2 years and thinking of making a change. Searching for a better QOL. What is the first and second year Saab FO pay at Silver? (APC pay scale is kind of contradictory) Is FLL able to be held out of training? What kind of trips do you guys mostly do, day trips or long a$$ 4 days? How long is your short reserve call out time? Multiple call out windows? Long call? Paid training? Thanks in advance. |

The pay rates on APC are current and upto date. Training is paid @ 4 hours a day with usually 6 days of training and then one off and back to 6 days. FLL is too senior and most new hires that do hold it have been on reserve for over a year. We have day trips, 2,3,4 day trips. Most of our bases are out station so commutability can be hard. We do not have long or short call its just 90 minute call out. And reserve usually starts @ 4 or 5 am.
To the person asking questions... I believe they're only hiring into the B1900 right now, but don't quote me on that. Also, FLL out of training... it's going ot be difficult. The further south in bases you go, the more senior they are. FLL is the most senior base, so I'm going with no. You're probably looking at 2 years or more before you get in. But, that could change depending on how many captains/fo's leave for the majors / other opportunities... |

Going from XJT here would be a serious downgrade and pay cut for you. Not to mention QOL, I don't know where you're based at XJT but I'm sure pkb duj bfd and bil would not be appealing bases. Based on seniority who knows when you'd be able to hold any Saab position if any senior FOs in the cle system jump over in a staffing bid. If things at XJT are bad they can't be any worse than here, the grass is not always greener on the other side. |

Going to another regional for any reason other than to accomplish something (Jet, PIC time) is like trying to see what hooker has the better STD. Things here are stagnant right now. There's no upgrade for any new hires in the near future, so neither jet nor PIC time will be entered in the logbook here. |
