I'm tagged to go to JAX this month. I'll be sure to post a gouge. I feel bad for the guys that haven't touched a light twin in a while. I was instructing in these last summer so I'm not feeling too apprehensive (although I still think it's ridiculous).

I agree that its ridiculous that the federal government is imposing this stupid rule on pilots already working at airlines. At least you'll get an ATP without putting any $$$ out of pocket.

This rule should have been applied before you started working for the airlines. It is long overdue junior.

Word on the street is any FOs who don't have 1300 hours by August are being given two options: Resignation or termination.
Between 1300 and 1500 hours affords you a third option: LOA until you get the required time.
Of course, this is all just hearsay, I have no official source. Someone else will have to confirm it.
