They'll miss you out in Laurel

You can't and shouldn't do things ethically at Sliver of Hope Scairways. Use all your vacay, sick and personal. Wait after you're paid, then put in your 2 weeks. At least that way you got what's yours and that's that. I've seen countles pilots, rampers, schedulers and dispatchers get screwed for being "Ethical" Silver Airways is synonymous to unethical.

That place had the best rampers. I gave all my flight training books from Private to Commercial to a kid working the ramp and told him as terrible as it is to get into the industry I wouldn't change a thing. That guy busted his arse on 100 degree days throwing bags.

Yeah except when there was that staffing change and PIB went to hell pretty much overnight. The older fireman always ended up working by himself when other never showed up to work. Sad, PIB was prolly one of the best in the ATL system.

A few guys had classes that started a few days after their interviews, they didn't bother to give 2 weeks notice, good for them. It's sad when a company loses the respect of their employees.

As the airplane is called "only the beginning"

Folks,

This industry is way too small to burn bridges. Someone you cussed out or screwed over or disrespected could end up being your boss at the dream job. Ethics an integrity may be the only things you have to hang your hat on.

As far as what is paid out to you upon leaving, talk to the union about how the process works. I don't know how it works here but at another airline they were required to pay any 'awarded' vacation but only 'accrued' vacation if you gave two weeks notice. Sick banks were not paid out at all. They're for when you are sick.

I upheld my ethics and integrity all I ask is for the same, I shouldn't be surprised at this though. Those that have left please pm me with how your separation pay worked. Thanks

Page 75 of the contract. As long as you give two weeks the vacation should be paid out.
