Silver has a better contract and soon-to-be better bases, so it's not all bad. Actually I am looking into TSA and it may be a decent starting point? |
You guys shouldn't do this to each other, its not good for pilots collectively.

This is coming from a guy that failed 4 check rides. I understand you made it through Silver training and now you are working at a "mainline", so that's where you are attitude comes from.
You call 170 a much easier airplane and yet you couldn't cut it through on a Cessna 152. IIRC, you I remember you struggling to get a job once. Be a little humble and never forget where YOU came from.

Maybe reading comprehension isn't your strong suit... I said attitude is everything and realizing how and why I failed is the reason why I've been successful in my airline career. I'm basing a 170 off of the many people I know who fly them and came from Silver and said it was an easy transition. I never forgot where I came from and what it took to get here and you'll surely never see me brag about being anything special. I simply laid out reasonable expectations for this hopeful Silver candidate and even see a little of myself in him. Why else would I come here and specifically post info for him? Everyone on this board struggled to get a job once and just because I made it outta there doesn't mean squat.

So for everyone that has trained on the Sabb what are some tips about training that would be helpful. What I have gotten so far is the standard study study study.... Study with your class mates. Utilized the experience that other students bring to the table. Some one said that the systems books are worthless and the electrical system is hard to learn. Any tips on studying and knowing the systems. The E jet products were fairly simple and straight forward. Any recommendations on the sabb?

Am I the only one that wonders where Carl gets his GIFs from? It's like a work of art sometimes

I miss working with amazing people day in and day out at Silver. If any thing that made my time at Silver enjoyable. If my QOL and pay was better, I would've stayed for sure.
