Silver is the old Gulfstream international. Your resume for future jobs will look better if you look at other 121 jobs.

Correct, Silver used to be Gulfstream. However, I don’t think the folks in charge of hiring at legacy/cargo airlines care about that. They stopped the pay to play stuff a long time ago.

I got hired at United directly from Silver (albeit I had other airline experience before that as well). Pretty sure most majors are more interested in what kind of person you are rather than what idiotic management team ran the airline!!

They cleaned house of the pay for training management people when ownership changed. It was a scourge on the industry, but they were not the only ones involved going back to the 90's. Yes it's low paid turboprop flying in Florida and the Bahamas. They have 169 pilots so I don't think they are influencing the industry too much. That model would never work now, but in those days no one was hiring and they took advantage of it as long as they could.

I spoke with Camilo in July about joining the Emerging Aviators program and then becoming an FO for Silver. I applied for the Emerging Aviators and he said to contact him again in a couple months if I didn't hear anything. I tried to call him the beginning of October but he is deployed with the military right now. I've tried to contact other recruiters multiple times, but I cannot get a hold of anyone and no one will return my emails or calls. If anyone who's at Silver has any other contacts I can try, please let me know. I'm approaching R-ATP minimums. If I see I can't get in contact with anyone at Silver before the end of the year I'll start focusing on other airlines as much as I wanted to fly for Silver.
