Crickets, would love an update and to hear how things are going at Silver. The 2 guys I know that work there have been furloughed, so I don't get any news from them.
I know this gets asked periodically, but worth the ask again... Moderators: Can we get Silver added as it's own separate thread under regionals instead of being in "Other"??? |

Sorry to hear about the guys you know there. How many has Silver furloughed? And I second the separate thread request.

I saw somewhere it was 130ish.

Silver furloughed and most of us opted for a four month leave of absence which we will then be officially furloughed at the end of January. The company has shrunken in size to only 7 aircraft. Total pilots now flying is 60. The other 130 of us are in the wind. Even if the loads start to increase, it will be years before Silver starts to expand again.

Sounds like a higher percentage to the winds that the majors or even most of the regionals. Ouch!

Alright let’s clear a few things up here.
Our seniority list was only ~130 strong before furloughs / Leaves. We did furlough, the majority on the chopping block took a LOA which expires in January. The airline has already started recalling the majority of those on furlough or leave of absence, although A LOT have bypassed the recall. Some of the Saab guys on leave are being sent to ATR school. We added CHS, CAE, and JAX back for November / December with talks of two more destinations in the coming months. As I like to say, we’ve reached peak Silver. They reduced the staff to save money but quickly realized they can’t operate with those staffing levels. |

I saw on the orange board that someone in Florida is looking for ATR Captains and First Officers. I assumed it was silver, but if you haven't finished recalls, are you looking for street captains already?

Any update on Silver?
