Default Medflight Info

Medflight Inc., has 4 LR35s with about 10 pilots. Flies Air Ambulance for hospitals to/from Albuquerque and other medical transports around the country. Authorized to fly in North America and Caribbean. Most flights are in the southwest, but a lot of flying is to/from the NW and East Coast. Schedule is typically 5 days on call (stay at home with expected one hour wheels up) and 2 days off. Pay is 40K for SIC and 68K for PIC and some insurance is paid. No CASS. Commuting is discouraged, but sometimes allowed if not too far away from Albuquerque. Each pilot probably flies about 250 hours/yr. Good safety record with several decades of operation. Training is local followed by Flight Safety type rating. The other LR35 operation in Albuquerque is Air Care 1 with similar operation and benefits. Albuquerque is an OK place to live with College football and minor league baseball. New Mexico has a lot to offer for outdoors hiking, camping, hunting and fishing. However, Albuquerque has an increasing crime problem with property crimes and number 1 in the nation for car theft.
