The shared two bedroom suite is a thing that started recently. The 4 of us in my recurrent class this summer were asked our opinion about making it a standard thing for all training events. I think there's a nice Hyatt House in the area or something like that (those things are generally much nicer than my tiny 450 sqf apartment in LA for what it's worth). We told them that it might be worth experimenting with for initial since it gives people a more social setting to study, but it was a definite "hell no" for recurrents. They seem to have listened. During all recurrent training you get your own hotel room. However, they do like feedback so if you feel like it took away from your experience, please let them know, seems like they just started trying it out.
I got my KCM badge while back home waiting for IOE, so I don't think you'll have it during training to jumpseat home. For what it's worth, my class only had 3 days off during training and they were spread out throughout, so it wasn't really worth it to go back

Hello....................
I see on the ************* that JetSuite is recruiting a Chief Pilot.
So, is Paul ProFett still there or retired ??

Paul stepped down as Chief Pilot but is still a P300 Captain there. They hired a guy named Ken to be the Chief Pilot back in May so I am not sure why they are looking for that same position. You are right it is posted on all the sights. Maybe he is stepping down already.

Wow he did not last long. I wonder what happened? Very tough to recruit management pilots these days. That job could be opened for a very LONG time. Too much money just flying airplanes and not dealing with the headaches of management. My management friends make less money then a lot of the pilots they manage.

If you’re in the early morning interview session I think you have the first pick, but when the Chief calls you he’ll have some options. I’d assume late January and maybe an earlier slot if someone drops out, if not February.

That’s awesome, thanks! Did they give you the CJO at the interview, mixer, or days later?
At the 10/2 interview 7/8 of us got the CJO. At the mixer they were asking preferences and there was a wide mix. One slot for class in late October and early November. I know 3 people took a January class.
