Default Packing for long tours

I’ve done long trips on 91 but we usually sat for several days in one place and could get laundry done. How do you guys with 15/13 or similar schedules work it when you fly every day?

Back when I was in the salt mine of retail 135, I would pack for 7 days and hope that I got time to do laundry around the halfway mark.

And pray you don’t spill anything on your uniform!

I carry quarters in a small ziplock bag and a couple of laundry pods in a pill container so they don’t get smashed.

I left. Now I fly a 7/7 schedule. Laundry is no longer a big concern.

Try carrying powdered detergent.....I believe Roma is one brand that comes in a bag, fairly inexpensive.

Two rolls of quarters typically will do the trick, although some hotel front desks do sell them if needed.

I'm typically on the road for 3 weeks on average, 7 days of clothes does the trick.........pack for all seasons.

I tell company to book a hotel that has a laundry facility or service, or I book it myself.
Most machines take credit cards, so the company foots the bill.
No need to carry quarters or detergent.

Ok. Thanks all! I appreciate the tips.

On another 135 topic…

How do you handle tips to line guys if your company doesn’t reimburse? I’m not one to stiff them.

Thanks!

Don’t tip them. Limo drivers don’t tip the bell boys.

Find another company?

When I used to fly for a similar POS operator, I've request the slowest and worst service from every FBO we visited, until management engaged their "brains" and asked why we were seemingly delayed everywhere we went to. "We don't tip. Rampers ain't stupid, they remember tail numbers and faces too."

Bounce it off your CPA in the meantime.
