Didn't these guys just get some Falcon 20's online? Thought I saw them on Climbto350. Anyone have any more info?

I wonder what their schedule is like. I saw that ad as well, any of your guys at Cherry that got furloughed communicating with them? It looks like theyre out of Denton.

I know one of the AAC dispatchers and was going to forward our furloughed guys info to her, but they already got other jobs. I am curious to what AAC is all about though. Is it more than I'm making now, schedule, all that good stuff. I'll see what I can find out.

The schedule for Shorts crews is 13 on/8 off. You usually aren't away from home for the full 13 days. Shorts crews are based at DTO or YIP. Most of the flying is auto parts. If you don't know much about hauling auto parts you may want to learn more about how that kind of flying will affect your QOL and your ability to build flight time. Also keep in mind that flight time (mileage bonus) will affect your paycheck. Make sure you ask how much you will make in a month if you don't fly or collect any per diem. It can happen.

FO's can get hired with low time on the Shorts. Shorts PIC opportunities will be available around 1200 hrs if you can do a good job and you have some Shorts time. If you are slow or unsafe, 5,000 hours won't get you into the left seat or keep you in the right seat. Seniority does not exist here.

I don't really know what is going on with the Falcon (just one for now). I'm not sure if crews will be in YIP and DTO or just DTO. I'm also not sure what kind of flight time they are looking for.

Don't PM me. Keep it on the forum.

Oh I think some of us know about hauling auto parts.

Mainly just curious how the other on-demand companies out there size up.

Thanks for the info, sounds just like every other on-demand 135 freight hauler out there but at least you have a more defined on call schedule. Hope you guys stay busy during this relatively slow year so far!

Thats a pretty sweet call sign by the way.

Flight Aware had it wrong. I'm not sure where "Air Team" came from. I emailed them a couple of weeks ago and they fixed it.

Last weekend when I filed a flight plan and put Twister in the remarks the FSS guy said "oh like the rapper." I hope he put Twista in the remarks. Best response to the callsign so far.

I'm not really sure how we compare to other On-Demand 135 companies. I haven't worked for many. I like the schedule. It does involve rolling rest, but I think most on-demand freight places operate like that. Management, Dispatch, MX and the CP have plenty 135 on-demand freight experience so things are run pretty smoothly. As a pilot I just have to handle the freight and fly the plane. I don't have to try to salvage botched trips from the cockpit like I have at another company.
