135 ops in New Mexico?
Anyone have any intel on any 135 ops in New Mexico? I asked about Martin Aire in another post w/ no reply from anyone.
I've heard a place called South Aero is hiring. Anyone know how to get in touch with them or what they are like?

South Aero and Aero Charter & Transport both fly out of ABQ. I don't believe that either one has a web-site but they both fly 402's. Aero Charter also flies some 310's and a few turbine types and operates under the call sign of Char-Tran (Shartran) if you have heard that around the southwest. They are both pretty average 135 cargo ops. They have had a few accidents but most are due to weather and pilots flying into situations that they should not have. (ice, t-storms, etc) I have heard from friends of mine who worked at Aero Charter in the past that they felt pressured to fly in bad weather, but it is your decision to fly or not to fly. I have flown on an Aero Charter 402C and thought that it was in pretty good shape. No autopilot, but it did have a gps. Both outfits post their jobs on climbto350.com. If you are not a member, here are the fax numbers from their latest job posts.
