I was hired for a CRJ-200 with 236 hours total time. Now that was fast.

I said I missed "recreational flying" - I didn't say that I was tired of my current flying job heck - if it were possible I'd say right here for the next 10 years! But alas - it is not.
Nope - not ready to trade places yet - but I sure would like to give you a ride. It is a blast!

Pinnacle. Don't know how it is now, but last year they hired lots of guys from bridge programs. Some of them [like me] only had 200-250 hrs total time.

The lowest time I heard get on was 193 hrs total time. Part 141 for all Private, Instrument, and Commercial-AMEL only.

Fastest way? Get a degree in business or finance, get a job in the financial industry, make lots of money for yourself while mismanaging the money of other, and buy yourself one of the new toy jets. Have fun!

Wow!!!! Anyone else remember how CLUELESS they were at 250 hours total time?!? That is just freaking scary. It's one thing when Lufthansa put guys through ab initio, but holy crap.

My understanding is that the military does this all the time. But lets face it 250-300 hours of USAF, USN, etc. flight training is quite a bit different then the civilian world. I just remember the days of 2500 & 500 or get lost! New era I guess -- or was anyway

That sounds pretty neat. Who do you fly for?
