Was at a career fair tonight, talked to one of the recruiters and he mentioned BOS will be open year-round....if so, does anyone know if this would mean additional lines/crews needed there, and how senior/junior BOS would be to hold? Lot of educated-guessing but would appreciate any info!

Its hard to say right now, It all depends on how many lines they have for the winter bid. Right now there are 11 lines but I can see that shrinking even more for the next bid.

The junior pilot in BOS has a Jan/08 hire date... there are about 50 FT pilots on the list below him; some in training, a few in other NE stations, most in the Carib for the season. With the EAS routes we have now out of BOS it looks hard to shrink the station any more without having all the flying based in the outstations.

Why would anyone want to be based out of Boston anyway? With all of the affordable living in the out stations as opposed to Boston. I could see wanting a Boston base if you are from the area.

Thanks for the info....BOS is the closest base for me, I would really like to stay where I am if I can help it, but I know beggars can't be choosers, especially in this business.....

I was on Cape Air's website and saw that you they want you to fill out one of their applications and fax it to them. But they also have an email address next to.

My question is for those who have applied recently what would be the best method? Application or email?

Thanks!

Print it out and send it Fed Ex overnight. They will be more likely to open it up and read it. Also include a resume. Worked for me back in March.

That's good idea;

How selective Cair is right now?

I m getting my ATP w/1700TT, current CFII-MEI;

I just hope mine won't get burried under 8 inches of resume.

Do I need to wait when they start hiring or I can send to them anytime now?

Upgrade Time?

I got e-mailed today to fill out an application for further consideration, before I do I'm looking for a ballpark est. on when I might be able to upgrade to Capt. would appreicate it if someone inside the company could shed some light. Also if its possible to get into the mail/cargo side and avoid the right seat. 1450TT 50multi. Thanks.

I don’t work for Cape Air, but I’ve been told upgrade is pretty much as soon as you get your ATP
