They just finished up a rather large class. There hasn't been any talk of another class yet, but I would image they'll run one in the next few months. Keep checking the orange site for the job posting, they seem to use that site quite often.

I'm starting to be a little curious about this company. I have family in Memphis and wouldn't mind living there. What is the orange site? Does anyone have any updated info on this company? Specifically and obviously, are they hiring?

Memphis is still the biggest base and the base that new hires generally get so getting based there is almost a sure thing. If you have family there, even better. Portland and San Diego are smaller and senior. Currently hiring and running classes every couple of months. It's a first job for most of their pilots.

The orange site is climbto350.com

Decisions decisions..... I don't know. I am already getting burned out doing laps around the pattern. According to a few posts in this thread of posts, working at Seaport seems to really stink. Only having 4 days off a month isn't that bad as long as one could be home at night. That's what I do now. However, this company sounds like I wouldn't be home very much.

Redstone are you there now? I guess I could just apply and see what they have to say. I know I can hold out for another 9 months of instructing.

I just left there for a regional. Flew for a year and averaged 8-14 days off a month and about 90-115hrs of flight time a month. High end, 2k after taxes. Maybe 100-200 in periderm as well. Most lines are 5on 2off. If you're interested drive in and drop a resume off. Have them give it to Mark E. They'll know who that is.

It's a great places to build a ton of time and experience. I enjoyed my time there a lot, but it is a hard job and isn't for the faint of heart. You do have CASS and half my roommates commuted every week to all over the country.

Good luck!

Memphis captain pay comes up to be like 40-50k and fo pay is 20-30k depending on how much you fly. Do not count on per diem what so ever. All numbers are per tax. Lines are typically not "commutable" unless you are super senior aka lifer type. Of the 11 or so captains the top 5 are all lifers with duis and criminal issues.
