Montana, not Billings.

What are you getting at? Billings is in Montana. Are they going to do "Outstation Basing" or something?

EDIT to add-

Does anyone know how they are going to run the MT operation? Is it outstation based or BIL based? Have they put out any mock lines for people to see?

The lines are out; we start Dec 10th. Two backup and one Sick/Vacation/TDY pilots in BIL, all lineholders are located in the outstations. 5 in SDY, 2 in all the others. Senior BIL pilot seniority is 107/245, junior is 176.

How fast can a new-hire expect to be upgraded to FO for the ATR ops in Guam? What is a typical timeframe assuming ATP mins are met?

I wonder how the SDY based guys are going to pay rent? The Bakkin Oil Boom is all over SDY and housing (if you can find it) is extremely expensive. (I hope you guys are getting a housing allowance!)

If you are headed that way and have a choice I'd be after BIL first. GGW and GDV are pretty tough places to live. HVR isn't too bad, they have a Wal-Mart and a few places to eat. The little JC there helps make it a fun rural town. Have fun at the Shanty :D

Sounds like people want to go to Montana pretty bad. I thought it would go pretty junior.

Cape Air does not provide housing allowance.

The BIL base went more senior because it's one of the few hub bases Cape Air has. The outstations went much more junior for the most part.

My buddy interviewed and was directly hired into the ATR, finished his checkride and is leaving for Guam on Sunday

Its irrelevant, everyone gets hired onto 1 seniority list and the ATR is bid on during system wide bids that include every 402 base. If you have ATP mins and a seniority number, you can get into the ATR by bidding and bidding only.

Edit: unless things have changed since I left
