Does the airframe type or job determine pay rate? Avenge has several opening from DHC-7s to King Airs to PC-12s, but I haven't seen anything about if there is a pay is difference between platforms/missions. Thanks!

Nope. Pay is the same across the board dependent on SIC or PIC.

Pay is determined by seat position. I was tentatively offered a BE-350 PIC job based on security clearance reactivation.

So reading this, I assume that if you get picked up for the PC-12 job, then you get PIC pay, the same as a BE-350 PIC?

Without getting into the Classified realm, can anyone talk to the QOL of a freight dog (DHC6/7) vice a ISR guy (BE-350, PC-12) OCONUS?

Thanks for helping me out!

The way I understand it is that if you have 300 hours of PIC turbo prop, you get offered PIC pay. I am ASSUMING that you would NOT be hired unless you have over 300 hours in a TP as PIC and have spent time as an IP in the military for the PC-12. it is a very selective program.

Most, if not all, new hires will go to the King Air. All the airplanes do some sort of ISR work. King Air works harder than -7.

QOL...well, you are deployed and everything that goes along with it.

By the way, seat position has nothing to do with pay. SIC's WILL fly from the left seat.

Most recent word I got is the March class is starting to be filled now, so if you want a March class date, get your stuff in ASAP.

I'm not free from my service in the good ol' US Navy until end of March. Do you know when the next class will be after that?

It seems to be monthly-ish. I don't think this is one of those jobs you can do on terminal leave either, but I don't know for sure.

I would focus on other contractors with a much brighter future such as L-3. Avenge is slowly withering on the vine soon to go away.
