I heard they make the pilots work in the hangar on days they aren't flying, which is where they got the name Hop-A-Mop

That was true, 20 years ago. Not Hopajet now. There is another operator at FXE that does that, but it's not Hopajet.

Default Exceptional Career Option!!

Hop A Jet is one of the very few On Demand Charter operators in the United States that one may make it a Career destination rather than a Step towards something else.

We are well run by industry professionals who were line pilots here 20+ years ago who do not micro-manage but manage by example, we survived 2008 & 2009 while many of our competitors bled completely dry, yet another example of fiscally responsible leadership at the top.

We currently happen to be the largest Commercial operator of Learjet 60XR's in the United States currently phasing out the Classics. Flying the Learjet 60XR and operating the Rockwell Collins Proline21 Avionics Suite while other operators still flying the previous generation Learjet 55 is def a big plus. Newer is Better!

Their Health Insurance and Retirement Benefits package is competitive in the Industry as is their Compensation and Cost of Living increases.

Training and Safety are Huge Perks here. You will receive excellent training both here throughout the year as well as at Simulator Training Center.

Additionally they have a proactive rather than reactive Safety department always looking for ways to raise the bar and add yet another layer of protection in order to mitigate risk.

Hop A Jet is definitely a Career Option!!

Hey Flylear, are you the same guy/gal who wrote the same thing about Miami Air? You sound like a recruiter or an employee of both?

We are well run by industry professionals some of whom were line pilots here & some who still are. We survived 2008 & 2009 while many of our competitors bled completely dry, yet another example of fiscally responsible leadership at the top.

We currently happen to be the premier part 121 Charter operator in the United States operating B737-800's & soon to be phasing out the B737-400's for hopefully newer NG's or perhaps a surprise order for MAX Series for delivery later in the Decade. We are also anticipating our long awaitied renewed Contract for Pilots.

Comparing Miami Air to a Regional or to a Major Scheduled Carrier is really an apples to oranges comparison. Comparing it to other ACMI or on demand Pax/Freight Operators is more of an apples to apples comparison and yes Miami Air will win that comparison each time on many fronts.

Our Health Insurance and Retirement Benefits package is competitive among part 121 Charter operators as is our Compensation Scale for F/O's and Captains. The scheduled days off is great for planning one's life something unheard of in most of the Part 135 world.

Training and Safety is a huge plus here. You will receive excellent training both in class & in the Simulator. The company demands much from the Pilots they train but also gives each Pilot every available opportunity to succeed.

If some have been bypassed for training it's because there is alot more than manipulating the Flight Controls in being a Left Seat driver. Those the company has placed faith in have been given more than enough opportunities to move to and excel in the Left Seat.

Miami Air has a proactive rather than reactive Safety department always looking for ways to raise the bar and add yet another layer of protection in order to mitigate risk.

Miami Air is definitely a Career Option for those looking to fly Mainline Equip for a Part 121 Charter operator.
What's your stake in these two? 3rd party recruiter?

More like dark side of the moon FlyLear. You must admit your Hippity Hop and Mijami Air posts are odd.
