You need to recalibrate your sights. What you're asking for is like expecting to be hired into a senior vice president position with a big salary and perks right out of high school. Generally speaking, the market -- including the pilot job market -- causes pay and qualifications to vary directly with each other. Qualifications include knowledge, skill, compatibility, overall experience, and . . . flight time. As we move further into the 21st century another variable -- supply vs. demand -- may become a more important factor, because a national pilot shortage is slowly but surely developing.
