Hey Windsor, I think I've seen your company posting jobs. How firm are they on the turbine time if you have lots of total time?

I almost dropped a 400lb person that was flailing around so much she punched my nurse in in the face. There is only so much my lifeport ramp can take and thats a lot of momentum to stop...

They prefer prior 135 and turbine time, but its not a show stopper if you dont have it.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully the majors will suck up all of these high times guys so I can get my foot in the door.

If i can get picked up at a major, I'm outta here. Although as far as i know, Im the only one actively looking to leave. Most of the guys love it here and for reasons of their own, have no desire to leave.

After 13 years I'm leaving to the majors. (Next week) Great job but the money is just not where it needs to be....

Congrats on making it to the Majors!

If you don't mind me asking, did you have any 121 experience prior to flying EMS for 13 years? Or is your time 91/135? I ask because I am really wanting to break into this field and if it looks good for the Majors that's all the better!

I have zero 121 experience. And no military either. All 135 at this point. I have a 4 year degree, an A&P license, and a decent attitude I guess, which is what they were looking for. I will miss the job very much, but in the course of my career I will make a lot more $$$ which will send my kids to Christian schools and actually give a retirement which is very important.

Fired up, it was a great job wasn't it? By far the best job I've ever had so far, even though Ive moved on. Yeah, you're right though, definately would have stayed had the $$$ been better. Still waiting on your peeps to call!
