I applied for a lear 35 SIC opening out of kfpr the other day. They wanted 2500 TT, 1000 PIC, 500 XC, 100 Night, 100 actual instrument and 300 Turboprop. I met everything but the 300 turboprop and got an automated TBNT e-mail about 20 minutes after applying

i use to work there before they were purchased by air methods. looks like they have a schedule now, unlike we did back in the day. there are no turbo props in KFPR at the present time, just Lear 35's. Forget about the QOL, Pay, Schedule questions like every one else asks - this is the best place to get your chops flying a jet airplane over anywhere else.

Old thread, but here is my $.02... Worked as a King Air FO for CJ systems and was there when Air Methods bought us out. Based at KJVY.
Air Methods is union, and contract states 1day on for one day off, and the individual based make whatever schedule they want. Ours was 7on/7off.
Pay starts at $50k for Capt and around $40k for FO. Literally you get 75% of a captains pay.
I have nothing bad to say about the company. Excellent people from the top down. Would have stayed had they not gone single pilot at that base.

They seem to supply "living" quarters when on call. Pilots seem generally happy. Most pilots prefer the PC12 to the KA and they're phasing out the KA100 (not sure about the 200) in favor of the PC12. Most of the short trips are done with the helicopters so the fixed wing guys do the 90min-2hr trips. It seems like a good operation, at least for the bases I'm familiar with. Mostly middle-aged folks, not many new-hires at all in the recent years. Good luck!

True. We had an apartment in the hangar with hi speed internet, HD cable, and a 42" TV. Kitchen, full bath, the whole works.
I know the KJVY base is going to remain King Air forever because it is hospital based. They service the children's hospital. But all other bases switching to pc12.
It is a helicopter company and it shows as a lot of things involving fixed wing are an after thought.
