Crazy. So somebody with 300 hours gets a call and you don't. Someone earlier said they reduced salary do to so many using it for time building. Maybe they figured they wouldn't have you long with those hours.

Yeah just feeling things but hey that's the nature of this business. Make yourself as marketable as possible. I get many odd looks from line guys when They see me and find out I'm 20 flying a 421/king air single pilot

If you`re going to be a street captain, I understand they`d look for someone who would stay in the long term.
Last street captain MW hired just retired as a test pilot for Boeing (part of the 747-8 and 787 development program).
So don`t worry, you`re not the most experience fella here.
No odd looks. A couple pilots here are captains and barely 20.
I doubt your age came into play.
And people saying that the company lowered their salary, that`s BS.
We went from a salary pay to hourly pay. With the guarantee, we actually get paid more. The more hous you pick up, the better your check looks. That simple.
Most of us are coming with super low time as SIC. Mokulele is one of the only options you have to get paid to fly (if you want to avoid the CFI route).
Yes its not a whole lot, especially for Hawaii. But it gets the job done.
Most PICs move on to Regionals right at 1500, and generally do a lot better during ground school than guys who only have CFI experience.
Being part of a 135 operator helps you understand CRM and airline environment big time.
Good luck to all of those who applied.
The hiring is very sporadic. It`s all about timing.
And if it doesn`t happen, there`s probably something even better waiting for you at the next stop. Dont be discouraged.
Aloha
