I will admit that I did not know that it was an ALPA negotiated benefit. But I am kind of surprised of the backlash from some of you 121 guys. I had fingerprinting done and a thorugh background check done, same as airline pilots do when they first get hired. Am I really invading 'your space' in the TSA for the 15 seconds it takes to go through??

If we are going to play the what if game... your a dirt bag operator could a buy a Gulfstream and said terrorist pilot would have command of an aircraft the size of a regional jet. And what is to stop a dirt bag 121 operator from getting KCM? If you think 121 is some barrier to terrorist pilots, then you don't know how desperate regional carriers are for pilots.

Also, 135 companies have been allowed SIDA badges long before KCM was around. A SIDA badge can give you more access than KCM.

TSA has the same background check for 135 operators as it does for 121 operators. Who really gives a rats behind whether a 135 guy is granted KCM access or not?

Because ANYONE can become a FA in 4 weeks.
A lot of benefits in aviation come from other sources.
Should certain sectors of aviation not get the benefit of advanced avionics or safety features because they were funded or tested in a different sector of aviation?

I bet this guy is a real treat to fly with on a 4 day. He's acting like if you go through the KCM line that you don't have to send your luggage through the x-ray scanner or the scum of the earth 135 guys don't have to step through the metal detector. We just want to go to work and come home.

Also alot of 135 guys are retired 121 mainline guys, more than likely a high percentage of them are former ALPA members. Can they worthy to go through the KCM line? Go eat a snickers

You are pretending that security theater is actual security in a feeble attempt to feel as if you are better than the 135 mob. It's symptomatic of being infected with the disease "importance", I see a LOT of that here in 121 land. The problem ? You are merely embarrassing yourself.

If security were actually the driving logic behind your spew, you'd have provided some detail regarding FA's and their training. Guess you forgot that we sit behind bulletproof doors while they have access to the rest of the plane....but you are hung up over their KCM access.

....and I just bet you are proficient in CQB, as security conscious as you 'are'- not that you'd ever use it- you are far too precious to even consider securing anything beyond your own ego.

Smell what you are shoveling- it do stink.

Cannot WAIT to GTFO out of 121.
See you at KCM, either way.
