The daily pay for being out more than 8 days is a joke anyway but to not get that is aweful. He is doing his type (15-20 days) and is being forced to go back on the road for an 8 day rotation after. THAT IS BS! The shine wears off real fast after indoc... As far as a raise they got... what a joke! $1300 dollars a year. thats 54 bucks a check before taxes! what a waste.
No one is saying this is a career place, but compared to some mom and pop charter companies or a regional airline with a 10 year upgrade, this place is an improvement. Comparing DPJ to a major carrier is ridiculous.

I'm hoping to go to DPJ in lieu of going to a regional. I'm about 6-7 months away from meeting the minimums for either job, but on paper DPJ sounds like a better gig than working at a regional. Neither job will compare to working for a legacy carrier in regards to total compensation and work rules, but DPJ definitely pays better than starting at a regional and being home based is appealing as well.

Question: Do DPJ pilots keep and accrue frequent flier mileage from the positive space crew positioning flights?

Just like any airline, we do not collect frequent flier miles since Delta Airlines does not get any money from us to move its pilots around.

What is your total time. They have hired people with 1500 hours before, so if you have that you might as well apply.

Not quite there yet. ~1000tt 700multi. Another 6 months or so to get that last 500 hours. I'll definitely apply at that time.

I applied six weeks ago with over twice that (3100TT, 1500ME, 1250 turbine, 650 turbine PIC) and haven't received a call. I would be very interested in DPJ given the opportunity.

I tried applying with 1600 hours and an ATP, but couldn't click the box for having 2000 hours. When I went to the next page it said I wasn't qualified. How are people getting hired with less than 2000? Just checking the box and explaining later?

Read my previous post about applying. You have to skip the questions and click a different tab on the top of the screen.

I know you have answered questions about this topic before, so sorry to beat the dead horse, but can you clarify whether the FARs covered are 135 or 91? Or both? I have some 135 experience, but it's been a while so I'm just trying to get an idea of how much I might need to brush up.

Thanks!
