Have an upcoming interview with Grant Aviation out of Bethel. Any recent information about the company? Not looking for a time building gig so trying to get a feel for the outlook of the company. Thanks.

As of a year or two ago it was a grim outlook, but then again people have been saying Grant is on the verge of shutting down since 2008. I do know paychecks bounce from time to time.

Well they are having to street hire caravan/navajo pilots - could be the pilot shortage is getting dire, or there are other reasons. If you have AK time there are other and better options (IMO)
I do not recommend bethel.

First year 207/GA8 pilot starting wages at Grant pretty much doubled as of July 1st. And everyone got a pretty good bump in pay with annual bonuses and health insurance. The opportunities here at Grant are pretty good if flying in the bush interests you. Lots of good things happening at the company and the flying is very rewarding. Those of us that stuck around through the tough years are pretty excited about the things happening. Good luck at your interview, Bethel isn't as bad as you've heard.

Yes tickets are paid for commuting pilots. Not sure if it's only from the Pacific Northwest or not. Most guys are commuting from there anyways.
