Default Wet Commercial Single & Multi

I'm finishing up my commercial ratings now. Pre-Covid I had hoped to get on with Ravn doing light passenger/cargo work after completing this training. Now they've gone bankrupt and the new Air Alaska is just the larger part 135 operations with higher hour requirements.

Does anyone know of opportunities for a wet commercial with under 500 hours? There's no CFI work as the schools all have enough instructors.

I could add a seaplane rating if that would help.

I'm just looking to fly, I don't care if the job is low pay and requires physical labor (loading/unloading) or where it's located.

Red face Hey boss

My recommendation would be to look for work elsewhere or consider moving. Where are you located? I know a flight school looking for instructors. Also might be worth driving a truck or something while you wait for things to get better. I was in your situation when I finished my commercial in late May, I happened to get REALLY lucky finding a job that pays "ok" and didn't have to move. I am going to be unemployed here soon when the Wx gets cold (i fly jumpers), in late October and have been floating my resume with not much luck. Good luck

Im in the same situation. Im a diver driver and we only have a month left before we shut down for the winter. Ive barely even got any emails back from the resumes Ive been sending out. Its a tough market. Im hoping that since many of the regionals are managing to hold off furloughs now that it might shake some more gigs loose for us lower hour guys.
