Default Cirrus SR22 Turbo Pilot-Indianapolis Metro

E-mailed to me, passing this on. Please PM me with basic qualifications/contact info, and I'll pass it on to the employer

****************

I have a 2007 Cirrus SR22 Turbo. I had been working on my instrument rating but I have yet to finish it. The hotel business has been too much fun for me over the last 12 months to make much progress on training (I am being facetious now). I need to get back on it and finish it.

I need someone to take care of the Cirrus and then fly with me on occasion. I ended up hiring the previous CFI as a personal assistant. They took managed the airplane at Metro, flew with me on trips. I filled their time as an administrative assistant. I could just pay someone a monthly fee to do that. I want to hire an individual not a company (FBO) to manage the airplane. I could then hire them to fly with me on trips as the occasion arises. The other option is to have the same arrangement as I had with my previous instructor. I hire someone as an administrative assistant and they take care of the airplane and accompany me on trips. I was paying Angela $36k a year plus benefits as a full-time employee. I provided health insurance, an iPhone and a laptop.

Please refer anyone that you think would be a good candidate to me. I am flexible. They would still be in a position to do flight training, etc.

on the side. I would probably pay to have them certified as a CSIP. With the CSIP certification, they could do Cirrus training on the side.

I sincerely appreciate your help. I will check on the insurance. I think I will need to get them 25 hours in make and model. I would like a CFII.

**************

So once again, please be resonable, I don't want to waste this guys time, but this could be a breakthrough entry position for someone with 300-400+hrs TT and a CFI-I

Thank you for those that have PM'd me so far. I have replied to them all and we'll go from there. I'll post up once I can confirm the position is filled.

Nice. That's cool you posted this opportunity. Not my kind of gig but I'm sure this will work out well for someone. The employer seems to have a reasonable expectation and the pay seems ok. However, he should get the idea that the pilot suddenly becomes a hotel employee out of his mind.

Managing a Cirrus, plus a full time part 91 pilot and a part 61 flight instructor. Sounds a lot like a chief pilot to me. It would be a great experience and could prove to be a great thing for a young pilots career. However, it is a full time safety sensitive position and people in this position should be pushed to work at anything other than safety.

First of all I would let your friend know that he is an awesome guy for not treating pilots like dirt. I could think of many an aircraft owner who have asked me to do much more for much less. If you could also tastefully mention that pilots should remain pilots in order to be safe, your friend may live to be old and wise.

Well not even a guy I knew, the e-mail came out of the blue and I did a little research before I decided to pass it on. I don't believe he flies the plane a lot, but he did mention he didn't have a problem with his previous pilot/instructor free-lancing on the side neither. I doubt you could call it a "full-time" flying position in any terms necessarily. I've known quite a few folks that do this type of work to justify them as an employee at a company, but really retain them for their primary purpose of flying.
