Good deal, this week I should know if I get picked up also. Is there any way to request working in certain areas of the country? Also can you bring an ipad with all your charts and plates on it? What about a handheld GPS? Does Nick allow you to use those in the airplane? Only reason I ask is because it would make the flying a bit easier.

He provides a handheld Lowrance Airmap 500 (unless he upgraded). If you have something else you prefer he's not going to stop you from using it. You might have to ask him about the ipad for charts (he may want you to have paper on board just for his own sake, but what he doesn't know won't hurt him i guess). Charts are company paid for so no big deal if you can find them.
As for requesting where in the country you go, you can always ask but there's no guarantee. None of the cities I wanted to go to ever came up so it didn't matter. Plus, it comes up pretty short notice so you never know what's next anyway.

You really have no say in where you go. If you know the company has Dallas and San Fran coming up, you might let him know you would prefer one or the other... but really it depends where you're ferrying from too.
Just enjoy the ride.. I mapped the Harlingen area (South Padre Island TX), and who knew McAllen was such a fun city =) This job is about building time, and seeing a different side of the country than you will ever get to see in aviation again.
Enjoy it, and congrats.
