It is for some companies that run a smaller plane like a C-172. It also just depends on who's available and most the time companies elect to go with higher time people with AK time. It varies though on the person and their ambition. In my neck of the woods spring and fall are good times as the rivers start to break up in spring and freeze up in fall as travel because air dependent.

[QUOTE=AviatorG;1528074]How many flight schools in Florida have MEI programs.. Meaning, if I come teach at them will they get me my MEI and be able to build time. I know usually there is competition for these slots and seniority usually wins out.. How long after working for a school will they help you get the MEI...

Many schools on Florida's East Coast offer you your MEI at no cost to you once you've committed to instructing SE there for a while. Being.a CFI is honestly the quickest way to close the gap between your time now, and the time required for this currently-competitive industry

I heard that Embry Riddle in Florida will pay for your MEI if you sign a two year contract. I think that they are currently looking for instructors.
