That's just a byproduct of being a DEC. Roughly half of the seniority list are going to be FOs, and they're all going to be senior to you and every time one of them upgrades that's just another guy ahead of you on the CA list.

Bypass Pay
Purely hypothetical question. If Piedmont were to fulfill its CA staffing needs through the DEC program and halts upgrades for like a year (again...purely hypothetical) do all the FOs who wish to upgrade who are ahead of the DECs on the seniority list get bypass pay?

Folks talk about reserve like staffing isn’t going to be an issue anytime soon... as long as the long term plan is to double (or more) the # of Jets and the size of the pilot group with attrition around 10-15%/ year the top of the seniority list, Piedmont possibly won’t have adequate staffing and therefore reserve coverage, for a while.
