Yeah that without a doubt sucks for right now. However, let's be honest and realize that it is just due to the blip in the market currently. Things will be fine in the long run. The real issue is uneducated masses of people freaking out for nothing causing hysteria. The media, on ALL SIDES, is not helping.
In other news, PDT is still struggling to hire quality pilots to fill the void here at the regional level.
Grab some popcorn, it is going to be a wild year.

If you're dumb enough to come to Piedmont after everything that is explained in the threads here, you deserve to go through whatever merger, shut down, delays to flow, or other punishment that comes your way.
This airline is the bottom of the industry in pay, in quality of life, in schedules and flying, in the way that we're treated, in schedule flexibility, and just about every other metric. If you're ignorant enough to join this airline anyways, why in the hell do you care about a merger? Worrying about a merger is like worrying about which toe you're going to shoot off, after you already decided to shoot yourself in the foot.

No ones knows what’s going to happen to this industry in the coming months. It could be really really bad, or it could just hurt a little. I’d worry about that more than anything right now. How they deal with this is impossible to predict. Best of luck, hopefully it turns out okay for all of us
