Whats the current situation with Piedmont?
I flew for Piedmont a few years ago and am thinking of going back. Anyone know this stuff (not necessarily in order of prioity)?
Are they still using paper charts?
Is the only base now in PHL? (that's where I want to go, easy commute)
How long on reserve?
Is the upgrade time short?
Have a lot of pilots flowed through?
Is the training drawn out?

No
Longest I’ve heard in the last year was 6 weeks but that may change when staffing becomes healthy
Depends on your qualifications

Upgrade time currently is supposedly "meets minimum requirements". They just started direct entry captains, so if you have 1000 hours 121/other qualifying time, and meet all the requirements, you may be able to go right in.
CLT is a new base starting... July? but will probably go senior. If you want PHL, shouldn't be an issue.
I did indoc in January, and currently waiting for sims, for 3 weeks so far. Your mileage may vary.
Just an FYI, PSA also has a PHL base coming up, so know your options.

Yes, they send you home. You get minimum guarantee while you wait, but they're not very forthcoming with even a "minimum"/somewhat accurate wait time. (i.e. "We have 30 pairings in front of you for initial/upgrade so you'll be waiting at least ___").
