yes but it’s very difficult to get hired outside the flow. Quickest path to AA is to fly for anyone but a AA WO

You can apply but chances are extremely low of getting hired outside of the flow. You’ll be interviewed by DAL, SWA and UAL pretty quickly though. Don’t go to Piedmont if you want to work for AA.

7-8 years for Piedmont. 10+ for the others.

Always apply, take the first slot open to you. I can’t emphasize that enough. I flew with guys that waited 20 years for their flow to American from Eagle. Yhey lost a lot of seniority waiting around. That flow gets you a job, it doesn’t get you a number.

So would going to Republic a better option for me to get to AA? Or is it the same?

Republic is better. Endeavor even more so.

More former republic pilots in my recent new hire class than any other airline. ZERO WO pilots outside of flow.

Yes, for all three of the AA WOs. But they are not hiring much outside of flow. They are so short of CAs. So, they would rather rob lots of CAs from other regionals.

I have seen pilots go to one of the other majors. After a few months, they apply and get hired by AA. Back door way to get on.

If you want to fly for AA, go to Endeavor, Commutair or GoJet; prefer UAL, go to AA WO, Endeavor etc. Delta? Just don’t go to Endeavor.

Any of the 3? Go to F9, BK…
