Piedmont Sep. 4 Class

The interview wasn't bad at all. Stressful, but they do their best to de-stress everyone as much as possible. The gouges are RIGHT ON. They are certainly a must-read for anyone going for an interview at Piedmont. Good luck everyone!

The gouges are fairly accurate, there are a couple of head scratchers on the written test, but if you are IFR current it won't be a problem. The sim ride is pretty straight forward. These are very nice people and want to hire you if you've gotten to the interview.

I'm at ___ total, ___ multi. My name is _____, i'll be with you on sept 4th, i'm really excited, piedmont seems a great place with great people and a great attitude towards their pilots.....wait wait for the negative guys to say something.....never-the-less i'm truely happy to have gotten a class date.
They seem nice, they seem helpful, but you need to be careful. You will be in for a fight for every last little cent you are due fair and square in the contract. Interpretation changes by the day and with no agreed upon joint negotiating history document, it's a constant urination contest to get little chunks of pay, days off, etc. that you are rightfully due. They do not have a good attitude towards their pilots, no matter what they act like to your face. Posting your name on these bulletin boards or anything that can identify you on here may not be a great idea. Things may change with recent changes in management, but I would still watch it.
Have fun, study up, but don't believe everything you're told. Know your contract once you're out on the line, read it, ask guys who have been around, and don't ask scheduling how the contract works! They bend the contract every which way to get everything covered, and will lie to you. It's not a terrible place to work, and most other crewmembers are great, your normal daily job will be fun most of the time.

I have two questions for any Piedmont guys/girls out there. First one is what is the chances of me getting LGA as a base out of training and second What are the chances of me getting only saturday off. I plan to enroll in the Saturday MBA program at my school. I know I'm pushing it with these request but hey it can't hurt to ask right!!!

Here's a negative guy chiming in.

For a while LGA was pretty easy to get. But we have only been getting one or two from a class lately, and sometimes none since we are pretty well staffed. Things are always changing though, and if you don't get it initially you should be able to get it within a few months. As far as getting Saturdays off...don't count on it being a regular thing. And just to repeat what lear24 said, watch out for management. You really can't believe most of what they tell you so cover your bases and consult with the senior guys to know your rights.

Not to kill your buzz, I understand. Congratulations, you'll probably have a good time and really enjoy your job most of the time. Good luck!
