They have since tweaked the interview a little from the gouges.

In my sim ride, I was not asked to do a hold... it was the allentown ils, depart, vectored to east texas vor, full approach to ILS.

In the HR interview I was asked a technical question: They give you a jepp low enroute and a jepp approach plate, give you a location on the chart, and ask you everything youd do to get down to the runway.

Other than that the gouges were right on, esp fo0r the written.

hope this helps

Im not to worried about the sim ride, I have been on a pcatd at school for a while now and got the hang of it. Im just going to go in and practice the profile before I go. I just need to know what to expect on the written.

The difference between a PCATD and a Level C sim is pretty significant (even off of motion). That said, the biggest thing is your instrument scan. Whatever aircraft you are flying on the PCATD, do what you can to fly it "all out", especially if it is only a piston twin.

Also, give some thought to how you plan to implement CRM while flying the box. Remember- the sim is a two pilot aircraft. Call for checklists, speeds, engine settings, etc.

PM me your address and I'll try to dig up some old gouge that I have. (It's about a year old now, but still probably worth a look).

As far as the written: What is an Inverter? Expect a few questions with the Jepps, max holding speed with different alt. What is MSA? When is ILS critical area in effect? Given an approach plate and was asked is the airport open 24 hours? (Tower was part time but airport is 24 hours, tried to trick you a little) too many other questions can't seem to remember all.....

On top of the other website mentioned above, also tried this one...

http://www.mypilotcareer.com/Piedmont.htm --- Yes, this is pretty good.

Good Luck.

The sim ride is conducted in a PCATD... an elite actually, setup with a king air. The gouges have all you need to know for the written, and also study the ATP weather section. If you shoot me an email i have some additional gouge questions that arent on the site.

I just got my e mail saying;

"Chris - below is your space positive travel itinerary for your interview:

Jan 8 US Airways 2550 LEX to CLT Departs 4:10 pm
Jan 9 US Airways 2491 CLT TO LEX Departs 4:05 pm

So do I go to the ticket counter in Lexington to get my airline ticket or will it be mailed to me? Also, thanks again guys with all your help on the gouge.
