Piedmont Minimums?

PSA & Piedmont are both wholly owned by US Airways, and many of the administrative functions are performed by the Shared Service Organization (SSO). Based on how the SSO treats us at PSA, I'd guess that PDT has the same poor hotels, payroll 'discrepencies', and other not quite top notch benefits. Also PDT has realigned thier domiciles at least twice in the last few years. So Pilots formerly living in base in FL had to commute to CLT, and now have a 2 leg commute on to MDT, CHO, ORF(?), LGA(?), a couple others I think, but all outstations.
Once hired you do get on the US Airways CEL, a flow through agreement that is rather grey, and getting greyer with the HP-US merger. So theoreticlly once US recalls thier 1900+ furloghees, they will hire CEL guys for new positions. Nothing in the CEL says they have to hire exclusivly CEL pilots. And US recalled 55 pilots this year, despite 250 retirements... So in 40 years you've got a shot...

What robthree writes is correct, particularly about SSO. The ORF base has also closed; ROA, SYR, and EWN are the other bases. To add, I wouldn't join PDT based on a seemingly enigmatic flow-through, but that's just me.

We keep loosing pilots from the bottom of our list, We hire F/O's from the above said schools they get online for six months then go fly a shinny new jet for Republic or Whiskey.
And don't come to PDT expecting a flowthrough, That golden carrot has been there for years.
No new shinny jets either.
But what we do have is a good flight crew group and you will love the stunts you can pull off in the Dash

Like what? Slowing 1900's down 60 miles out or milking the company at Dash power? It will cruise faster than 190kts, won't it?
Just kidding looks like a cool airplane when it flares at 74 knots.
Guess I got dropped back to 140 too many times over Nesto.
I am kidding, you're good guys, just cut us some slack in the airport, it really isn't our fault.

We always have to slow down for the ride 180kts in the -100/200 or 190kts in the -300

With times like that youre about as competitive as a one-armed boxer. Unless you have someone on the inside or something that makes you stand out you better keep plugging away and building time.
