If I was 23 years old, Piedmont would be on my shortlist.

How junior are the bases you're comparing at PDT vs. TSA? (i.e. IAD at TSA vs. CHO at PDT)

I couldn't imagine living in one of PDT's out station domiciles as a young single guy. That must really suck!

New Bern is a great Town and we spend much of our time on the river and living in a base that has such a low cost of living. How many bases can you go to on regional pay and have your own apartment?? I've met many great people and I'm still having a blast here.
However with the RJ's coming there will probably be a DCA and PHL Base. Basically it looks like PDT will be taking some of the AWAC flying. Since AWAC was only given an extension of two more years look for more and more ERJ's to end up in those bases.
Piedmont might not be the best and a year ago I'd have said stay away, but now there's a future of growth and new Bases. The flow is working well as I will flow by the beginning of next year or maybe the end of this year. But in the meantime I'm enjoying moving up the list and have my QOL improved while others guys senior to me flow up to American.
Honestly the last 6 months at Piedmont has been fun and the future looks even more interesting.

Piedmont
Go to Piedmont. The pay is comparable. Master 121 in a turboprop at smaller airports and lower speeds. Jet time will come. You're young. Don't rush it.
