Kind of doubt cannabinoids offer much protection that you can't just get from anti-oxidants in various healthy foods. Without the risk of a positive DOT test.

You can doubt it all you want.. your body your decisions. I nor anyone else in this post mentioned use of any cannabinoids in regards to jeopardizing employment. I'll quote what I originally wrote for you again.

Anyone that takes any form of marijuana in the hopes of protection from solar radiation is likewise, a ****ing idiot. Particularly if they do so whilst pursuing or maintaining a flying career.

Maintaining one's "immune system" by proper diet does not fight off cancer of the effects of solar radiation. Solar radiation is neither a virus, nor bacteria.

If one has chosen this career, one should be aware of the hazards, including solar radiation; if one gets to the point of occupying a cockpit that flies high enough for the effects to be a consideration, and is not aware, one is a ****ing idiot.

One may see the trend.

The solution is simple. Don't be a ****ing idiot. A subset of this solution is exercising enough sense to avoid ingesting any marijuana product, or in the context of this far-afield thread, plutonium.

Immune system won't help with radiation damage, that's correct. It matters for recovery from severe radiation exposure, but that's not the issue at hand. It also matters if you happen to get cancer... your immune system can often stop cancer before it gets started, you just never know it happens. You only find out if it fails.

Speaking from professional training and experience, ionizing radiation has a tendency to, well, ionize stuff. That creates free radicals which are very chemically active and tend to goon up biology, specifically genetic material. Anti-oxidants do actually in fact scavenge free radicals from you system which mitigates the damage they can do. So your leafy greens, blueberries, etc do actually in fact provide some protection from cosmic radiation damage.

Cosmic rays also can directly damage genetic if it hits it... nothing in your diet will help that. Although again a healthy immune system would be better at intercepting nascent cancers.

I've never ingested plutonium. I did sleep next to a significant mass of it one time. Long story.

That's nothing. My daughter slept next to pluto. Then the dog ripped up pluto and ingested it. Dog =1. Daughter/Pluto = 0. Dad out sixty bucks.

Dog ate wallet.

It seems to me that you will not be able to find CDB oil that will be ideal for pilots, since many of these oils have a very high content of the drug, which is not allowed for use by pilots, otherwise you may simply be fired from your job if this violation is found.

Just a drop on the tongue before whistling to the wheat field. Fabulous.

What is a “significant mass” of Plutonium varies from individual to individual depending on their risk tolerance.

A critical mass makes its significance known unmistakably.

It was a critical mass. The hollow spherical kind.
