All-- simple question
Retired AF... checked yes to receiving VA disability on the MedExress form.. got the class 1 no issues, but got a letter from FAA to send them list of VA compensation and disabilties... is this normal ops?

I have not had that happen, but I've been in the system for a while with no changes. When you filled out the FAA form you should have reported all medical conditions (checked the boxes and provided explanations) for all conditions for which you have a rating. Actually all conditions period, but the VA is easy for them to cross check.
This is worst case: FAA Looking at VA Records (Indictments!)
But since you did report VA disability, there's almost no chance of prosecution, even if you neglected to report the conditions in detail on the form. They go hard over on deliberate falsification, not paperwork errors.

Same as rickair7777 I've been in the system for a while so maybe the letter is a new thing.
