Default FAA Certified Neurologist

Anyone know of a good Neurologist in the Houston area or around it that can provide a neurological evaluation? Has to be FAA Board Certified

I don’t think there are any FAA certified neurologists. If you mean a HIMS certified neuropsychologist…

Probably needs to be board certified, not FAA board certified. Every neurologist I’ve seen lately is board certified, although some might not be. Their bio on their practice website should tell you.

Anybody know what the current approximate wait times to hear back from the FAA regarding neurology issues is? I was told they only meet every other month, and it could be between 1-6 months to get a response. I’m sending my package in this week. I didn’t know if someone might’ve had a recent first hand experience?

AMAS sent a large package of information for me in March. I had a certified letter from the FAA asking for more information 2 weeks later. AMAS was very surprised, they said that never happens. They were expecting somewhere around 6 months.

Uhh…Some idea of the actual issue might be required. Are we talking past substance abuse? History of Depression? SSRI use? Uncontrolled seizure disorder? It makes a difference.

”Neurology issues” covers a multitude of sins, some more sinful than others.
