It all depends on what is was for and how well you recovered.

A blown knee or ACL is not good, plenty of folks get NPQ for that. It's just too hard to make a 100% recovery, and it's too likely to have problems or get blown again in the future.

Remember, they are not just looking at whether you can complete flight training and fly...you have to complete survival training and be reasonably able to survive an ejection and the escape and evade on the ground.

Also they want to make sure that you can still do all that when you're a 50 year-old bird colonel Wing Commander.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I'm going to speak to a recruiter on Wednesday to see what he has to say. I'm sure he'll do everything he can to tell me im garunteed in and that with a PPL and multi engine rating in hand I can jump right in as captain of a 707, but that's probably not what really goes down lol.
Actually, the recruiter will probably tell you to go in as a Nav and switch to pilot later because you'll have better odds of being selected. If he does, run away bravely and find one that isn't full of crap.(not easy to do)

Yea, thanks for that, Slice, I probably would have fallen for that. I wasnt able to speak with a recruiter yesterday, but the place is right by where i fly out of so i'll probably meet up with one soon. I think my color vision is probably gonna mess me up more than my allergies.

Just talked to the the AF flight doc. Your allergies don't exist if a medical provider hasn't diagnosed you with them. Your vision, on the other hand, might give you some issues.

Ah unfourtunitly I have been diagnosed with allergies. I had a scratch test done on me a few years ago and I was allergic to damn near everything they tested me with lol. Doesnt look good for me becoming an AF pilot, thats for sure. Maybe I'll have to look into another career with them.
