Default How to help get over being sick?

I've been in bed for 3 days now with some sort of crud I can't shake. Right now I'm just taking dayquil. I had a Tdub guy on a plane not too long ago that spoke of something that had to do with "Crud". I went by Target and had no luck. With all the products out there what do you find helps get you out of your funk?

The best thing that ever worked for me was sweating it out. Pile on the blankets and sweat while you sleep no matter how hot it gets. Probably not too healthy, but I'm not a doctor.

Also, avoid any of the stuff they still sell on shelves at stores. If your going to go OTC, buy the stuff you have to ask the pharmacist to get for you.

I drink a gallon or two of orange juice and eat some kiwi when I feel it coming on. Works for me.

Default Crud

I went to the Doctor and my crud turned out to be bronchitis. I picked this up on Jan 19th or 20th. It just never improved. My wife finally made me go to the Doc.
You might consider going to the DR. and ponying up the co-pay.

Cold-Eeze lozenges, or anything else with zinc. Read the directions. It works best if you start at the first signs of a cold.

If it's nasty use decongestants...keeps the snot from running down and inflaming your throat.

I went to the sauna and steam room today. I spent about half an hour going back and forth. I'll try some of these other choices tomorrow. I started hacking earlier and a pile of bile came out. Very nice.

On an overnight in SFO where I was sick as a dog, a fellow Pilot offered me up some Zicam...It literally works wonders (though, as rickair pointed out, it works best at the first sign of trouble).

The best way to shake it, I've found, is to go fly LoL ;P
