I heard some grumblings about a pilot calling in sick in the field. Then rather than sit in BFE took a jumpseat home. Heard he was in trouble over this. If this is the case I think the company is tightening the screws. They imply that if you call in sick you must have an infectious disease and can't jumpseat. Otherwise you need to call in sick - then well - jumpseat home - then call in sick again.

Don't know if this is it but it was about 3 days ago I heard about this while I was flying a trip for FedEx and a jumpseater told the stroy.

Could someone please interpret that sentence for me?

I heard a pilot was riding his Shetland Pony, it got scared by a wascally wabbit and he fell off and hurt his shoulder. In an unbelievable coincidence, it was the day after his 60th birthday. Seems he wants to take a 3 month paid vacation. Wait a minute, that was a year and half ago.....sorry!

That would eliminate most of the truly insightful posts shared on this forum.
