Quitting Smoking???
#11
The first 3 days were the worst, day 4-10 were pretty easy, but these last 5 days have been a mental battle, even though I believe the chemical addiction is gone, I still lately have been wanting a smoke bad a couple times a day, so far though mental preparadness and will power have got me through...I hope I make it....Good luck to you keep us updated, somtimes talking about it helps, we could all be each others support group...

When I quit ten years ago, I knew I was past the point of no return when I actually could smell my clothes the morning after spending all night in a smoky hellhole, and getting disgusted. Now smoke annoys the crap out of me. Right now I am overseas, and most bars and restaurants still allow it.

Early morning coffee and a smoke? Oh man do I miss that. That and an ice cold beer. Ashamed to say that I have smoked for 10 years, just quit this year. I used Chantix. The stuff was the magic bullet for me. You keep smoking the first week you take the drug and quit on the 8th day. Took it for 60 days and it was surprisingly easy. Many health insurance plans will pay for it, it cost me about $60 total. I would strongly recommend it.
So far so good

Nicorette can really help when you are just about to freak out. Sounds like you are doing pretty well cold turkey. It is really not any fun but keep going, you are already through the hardest part. Good luck!
