And McCarran (Vegas). In fact they don't let you use Pre Check there. Local policy. I hate how every TSA check can be different. Makes it frustrating at each new airport.

Ive been through DAY in business casual with just my badge before. It’s a real PITA there, which is why now I’ll do it in uniform whenever possible.

What do you think we did before KCM? KCM is just an option btw, not a requirement. Also not all air carriers have KCM. Airline ID is all that’s required, if anyone tells you otherwise, ask for a supervisor.

I talked to the TSA agent when I got to the airport and asked if he would let me through with my airline badge. He said "Only if you're in uniform"

I asked the ticket agent for a gate pass and they were nice enough to give me one.

An agent is not a supervisor. A TSA-approved air carrier ID is all that is required to access a sterile area. Sometimes it’s just not worth the fight, but putting up a fight, will always help the cause. Never take the advice of a TSA agent, they’re usually wrong, despite security being their job.
