You're a paying customer.. you're p!ssed.. call Isom, or Parker.. us pilots just fly safely and do what we're told for minimum pay. We have no responsibility for management's lack of preparedness, planning and oversight. This board is the worst place to get answers other than get p!ssed on pilots even more p!ssed off.

FWIW, AA customer service wasn’t taking calls yesterday. I did have to chuckle a little to myself on that one. And I agree with what you said.
Just giving the poor guy in the back’s perspective, that’s who suffered.

I'm making assumptions because any "real" airline would positive space you for an interview.

Enjoy that ride on Delta... hope the power stays on in ATL. Ooo... my we have short memories. 2nd the comment. What viable employer in aviation wouldn't handle transportation. Get over yourself, it'll be a long painful path for you.

Yeah, but positive space doesn’t even mean much yesterday, my “positive space” return home flight (not AA or AA regional) was cancelled. And since i was a non-rev, they told me I was lowest priority for rebooking and I might get home the following day...
Had to buy my own ticket home on another airline.
Have to admit, it is making me really doubt whether I want to accept the CJO from that regional or be affiliated with anyone flying that major’s colors.

Keep up calling customer service and emailing the company... if enough of the passengers do so (especially premium passengers) things may change in the future.

If your basing a job off of a glitch in the matrix then I guess if Delta gave you a job offer tomorrow you’d turn it down?

Honeslty you’re being over dramatic. The general population won’t even remember this in a month once things are back to normal. You’ll have a small percentage that won’t come back to American. That’s usually the ones who fly once every few years. A small percentage of the brand loyal ones who have 5 billion points who know it’ll be made up to them. Then in the middle is everyone else that buys tickets solely upon face value price. Regardless if it’s American post apocalypse or boutique air.

Or Southwest for the matter, or United with their issues as well.

And it turns out that that’s exactly the prob. Don’t try to cast a bad light on me when your sh!t operation dropped the ball. I paid $800 to get to CLT and back on the same day for a reason. It turned into a 3 day cluster f... I don’t really consider that a bargain. From a paying customer perspective, for the next important event I’ll either drive or take Delta. So, if you can’t stand the heat, stop trying to defend sub par, half a$$ed, 3rd best, poor excuse, performance.
