Default PSA will provide an IPC?

I had a really positive Q&A phone call with a PSA recruiter yesterday. In fact, the only other call that's even come close was one I had with Mesa.

What surprised me was that the PSA recruiter mentioned that for some non-current folks interested in their airline, they will fly you to an east coast flight school that they have contracted with, and then provide you with a $1,000 credit to be used for an IPC. (You're responsible for your own accommodations... but still, it sounded like a true willingness to work with pilots interested in flying for them... that might not have flown for a couple of years.)

Has anyone here participated in this program? And are any other regionals offering anything similar?

Many thanks!

Someone had said that they wanted an IPC and 5 hours in an airplane for non current folks. I hadn’t heard that they ar paying people to do that tho— but it doesn’t surprise me.

Wait and see starting about the middle of next year, barring any black event. Should get interesting.

I’m the meantime, why not take them up on it.

I have a friend who just got a $17,500 check from republic to fly 250 hours in a month to get him to 1475 and into the next class. Airlines are starting to become competitive in the hiring department...

Part 91.. no duty/flying/rest limits. Fly it 10-12 hours a day and you'll be burnt the hell out, but done.

Sort of takes the joy out of it. But I suppose that’s bound to happen one way or the other in this industry.

Meh. He wants to use it to circumnavigate the country. He made a goal out of it.
