Growth at PSA
#11
Because our growth has been stunted at times due to a lack of the proper incentivizing on their part of AAG. They are traditionally reactionary and not very proactive on staving off problems until it hits them in the face. So at times they have slowed or stopped transferring 700s. I honestly wouldn’t say it’s the fault of anyone at PSA. They all receive their marching orders from Dallas.

Have you seen the retirement numbers starting this coming year? I think PSA will be lucky to staff to 150 airplanes unless they start trying to front-load hiring needs and increase pay ASAP.

Keep in mind, it isn't all about staffing these planes with pilots, we are hurting for FAs and Mechanics as well which is why you are seeing maintenance bases opening up to attract Mechanics.

Maybe hoping the E concourse at CLT will be done so we don't have to park 900s at E1.

1) Collapsing or declining economy (most likely to happen)
2) Age 65 rule becomes 67 (possibly)
3) Repeal of the 1500 hour rule (unlikely to happen)
It's always been about kicking the can down the road as far as it will go.

When the economy tanks the options to buy those 900s will cease, the 200s will remain and will be flown until they can't be flown anymore. To think the 200s will simply go away is foolhardy. PSA *loves* the 200. They're fully paid up and can still service all the routes we fly with few exceptions.

They are given a budget and goals, the rest is up to management to make it happen. Their success and failure are all their own.

Please stop apologizing for the company as if you are in the know, you are just another line pilot that thinks they have a better insider source than the rest of us...

The point is management is a failure.
Envoy able to take 50+ E-175s AND bring 50+ E-140s out of the desert.
Piedmont able to take 60+ E-145s
Endeavor was able to take 30+ CRJ7/9 in less than a year.
TSA was able to spin up both AA and UA flying.
How many airplanes is Skywest bringing on? Republic?

Didn't know Piedmont has 60 plus jets, last I saw they were under 50 still on planning on only taking 56. They have issues with training as well.
Envoy already has the resources to run their equipment and take more considering they were a much larger regional in the first place.
TSA isn't a gold standard....
Endeavor, I have no argument here. They did what they had to do and it's paying dividends now.
